Location Shots

In preparation for our filming of our Opening Sequence, we have to cover and photograph all of the possible locations we can use in our film so that we know whether the locations are appropriate for our film as well as indicating what possible risks we could encounter when at these locations.

Our 1st location shot is of the King School's Drama Studio. In this studio is where we are going to be doing the main bulk of our filming for our Opening Sequence as this is the key interview scene. We will the photography lights and any other specialist equipment to increase the atmosphere and ambiance in the room to improve our overall final film.

For our second location shot, Alex and I came up with the idea of having the free running shot of our Anonymous character escaping by jumping of the end of a bridge in either Ottery St Mary or Budleigh Salterton and into the water. The bridges in the these two locations were high enough for our needs.

We originally though this was going to be quite effective as we would be able to shoot some nice slow-mo shots of the character jumping the bridge whilst also making contact with the water. However we soon changed our minds and decided to not include a free running sequence of the character escaping by jumping into the water as the rivers where too shallow and this will become an issue in terms of safety when performing stunts like these. An idea we both had drawn up which is similar to this is to have the character jump over the top of a vehicle or wall of some sort to include the slow-motion we wanted somewhere in Budleigh Salterton again.

Having now taken a few location shots of areas we are/were planning to film, we are now going to start drawing up plans for when we are going to film our footage.
